Artist of the week

As I mentioned in a previous edition, this newsletter is a collective space to play, create, and try new things.

Today we’re highlighting the work of photographer, Janica Castro. She’s located in Denver, CO and she has a keen eye for capturing small moments that end up defining how you remember an experience.

Thinking twice before posting

With the increased power of multiple types of AIs growing at an exponential scale, weird edge cases arise that are hard to predict. One such example - deepfakes of our kids and loved ones.

It raises a question that our generation needs to think about: what are the risks of posting pictures of kids (and ourselves) online?

The powerful video was created by Telekom, a German telecommunications company owned by T-Mobile, so it’s kind of cool to see a company acknowledging how their products can be used for evil and trying to warn against that.

Still, parents having to worry about posting innocent pics of kids got me like
